This is an outstanding example of a second pattern W-SS helmet cover featuring the oakleaf camouflage pattern overprinted in plane-tree. The foliage loops are intact, as are the clips and springs. The material is the correct gauge for a cover, not a zeltbahn, which is a distinguishing characteristic. The clips are the proper finish, with the correct peening of the spring end attachments. The inside and outside feature the reinforced front rim and correct treatment of the fold-under. Originals are elusive, and this one is a one-look keeper. Fits a size 64 shell nicely.
