Killer Waffen-SS Totenkopf Officer’s Tunic
Here is a very rare, killer M40 style tunic for an SS Untersurmfuhrer of panzer, assigned to the 3rd SS Pz Div ,,Totenkopf.” The jacket is a tailored piece, with full lining and aperture for a degen or dolch. The material is a coarser mid-war quality wool, with moderate nap wear, age toning and expected signs of prolonged service wear. The insignia are fine quality machine sewn and undisturbed, matching bullion Totenkopf and Untersturmfuhrer collar tabs, along with a beautiful hand applied textbook bullion SS Officer’s sleeve eagle that has been there forever. The slip on Ustuf boards are piped in pink rayon and thoroughly match the insignia assemblage. The left breast pocket has loops for a badge–this silver wound badge was on the tunic, so I left it. This is one of those items you rarely see in a collecting lifetime, and it is in fine, war-used condition. The insignia, application, materials.. all are no-brainer real.
