This fine example is an HKP64 side marked, heat lot #12388, with dark charcoal grey-ish Luftwaffe finish found on the SE / HKP M40 Luft helmets. The Luftwaffe adler is basically 100%, and the paint is 98%, with the lightest hint of age patina. The texture and look of the paint is ‘frosty mint’ — identical to my first Luftwaffe M40, purchased in 1965 at the Allen Co. Ohio Fairgrounds Gun Show. The liner and strap are excellent condition. A sharp, highly collectible Luft example for your helmet collection. COA accompanies.
