Once again, a rare privilege to offer a superb example of a Luftwaffe M40 helmet that, while can always be called “southern front,” is very likely a DAK piece due to the deep mustard yellow camo finish, with a degree of pinkish hue, that is also recognized as one of the DAK schemes. The helmet is an ET64, #761, indicating earlier M40 production. The consignor reports having obtained the helmet from Giorgio, a well-recognized collector and expert.
