Sharp WWII US Tanker’s Helmet

This is the second one of these I’ve had the opportunity to offer in a short span of time. This helmet, also Rawlings marked, is in very good service used condition, showing wear commensurate with service in a tank unit. The shell is intact without cracks or breaks, and all parts are present. Under the repaint finish can be seen a roman numeral II, the significance of which has evaded discovery so far. The goggles are in great condition, with clear, un-fogged lenses. Combat used tanker helmets are harder to come by than their mint counterparts, and this one makes a great example.
