SOLD Sharp SS Cap Skull by Overhoff (M1/24)

This is an excellent example of an Overhoff cap skull in feinzinc, with about 15% of the silver-wash finish remaining. The prongs are intact and the right one is marked. The cap shows some wear patina and period grime accumulation on the reverse near the prongs, suggesting period use. An excellent example of this maker. (This skull was obtained by the owner from the family of deceased veteran James Kelly, who later went on to become an NYPD mounted officer.)
