(na) Sharp Japanese Army Combat Helmet, Guadalcanal
This helmet reportedly was brought back by a veteran of the Guadalcanal campaign. It is in near-minty condition for a Japanese helmet; usually they show a lot of combat wear and wear / patina up from being left outside for long periods of time in the Pacific Heat. This one is an exception and it’s in excellent shape overall. It is size marked “large” in Kanji, and has a name and unit number up inside the Dome. Straps are intact, the leather liner is complete and supple, and the helmet shows moderate wear only. The star is original, the paint is original, and all the components are original. COA accompanies.
