This helmet is a Q62 M35 Heer, with very hard service evident throughout. The layers of finish, including feldgrau and winter white, are evidence of the multiple winter front uses this helmet may have seen. The liner is mostly deteriorated, appearing to have been blood soaked. The remnants of the heer shield can be seen peeking through gouges and scrapes on the left side. This helmet is somewhat iconic and represents a type often seen in pictures of some of the bitterest winter fighting in the East. COA accompanies.
