Sharp Heer Winter Camo M40 Helmet, Leningrad Front
This helmet is an outstanding example of a winter camouflage Heer M40, with 90% of the camo finish remaining and the visible outline of a strong Heer decal on the left side. The helmet was sourced from Russia, reportedly from the Leningrad area. There has been some cleanup to the leather, but it is not a recently dug helmet, rather a battlefield pickup from wartime or immediate postwar based on the appearance. An overall great example of a Russian Front helmet, the likes of which will be harder to obtain from now on. COA accompanies.
