RESERVED (p.j.) Sharp Heer Officer’s Summer White Tunic

This is a sharp, excellent condition summer white tunic for a Heer Oberleutnant.  The pink piped “P3” shoulder boards denotes the 3rd Panzerjaeger Battalion.  The battalion was assigned to the 3rd (Mot) Infantry Division.  The division participated in Operation Barbarossa, Operation Blue, and was lost at Stalingrad.  Reconstituted, it served in Italy in 1943 until transferred to France in 1944. The slip-on boards are piped in pink and bear the number 3 cyphers, along with the single rank pip for 1st Lieutenant. The tunic is a smooth cotton twill with light service use evident. It is devoid of tears or other issues. The pin-on Heer eagle on the right breast is outstanding. The buttonhole features the EKII ribbon. The collar is an elegant droop tail style, also in white, and devoid of tabs. French cuffs are present. Overall a fine, high quality, historic Heer tunic. COA accompanies.
