My friend Dave Shirlin used to find a lot of really nice service used helmets and uniforms in the woodwork where he lived. He picked up a lot of veteran pieces and in some cases like this, just finding a nice one at an antique shop or similar, was his skill. The helmet itself is a nice service used M42, ET66 #1677. The army eagle is in great shape and the paint overall is 90% showing some expected age patina. The liner and strap are more fragile with signs of service use and age. Overall a nice untouched helmet. COA (mine and Dave’s) accompanies.
