This is a nice, early war quality Heer Pionier visor cap, worn in “crush style.” The lining is the earlier orange cotton chintz, with a leatherette sweatband. The wool body is a nice quality trikot weave, trimmed in black piping. The nco chin cord and visor are finely crazed, showing age and a lot of character. The aluminum insignia are fine, with excellent patina. A sharp cap, ready for the combat engineer NCO’s display.
