‘Rough and Ready’ Heer Combat M35 Overpaint

$1,550.00

This heavily service worn helmet is an SE64, #2071 earlier 1938 issue M35 that has had a complete service live apparently in some of the heaviest combat environments. Rather than being the typical reissue, it shows the issue M35 features of liner band, etc, and then after being painted over in a quick coat of rough texture paint, had a Heer adler added on top of that finish, leaving the national shield covered. The full national shield is visible on the right (see photo).  The helmet retains all original components in service worn condition, but is a handsome piece, ready for the Russian Front combat display.  It bears the name Marquardt in the skirt. COA accompanies.
