This is a rare and sharp example of a Kriegsmarine EF62 M40, heat lot #1487. The KM shield is heavily worn, but retains its telltale white ‘decal underlay’ visible in the photographs, and dead on characteristic of the EF stock KM shield. The tan finish is highly intact and heaped on the helmet in a hurry. The liner shows heavy service use but is in fine, nut-brown color and condition. The strap shows age deterioration and only the buckle end remains complete. This helmet would grace any KM collection, and definitely has been there. COA accompanies.
