Rare Luftwaffe Transitional Helmet

This is a fine example of what is known to be a rare helmet, the Luftwaffe Transitional. This one is based on a German M18 shell, size 64, with an M31 style liner and strap system and an outer coat of LW feldgrau. The LW adler and national decal are non-lacquer applied, therefore have suffered some popping-off over the ages, but still retain their colors and designs. The adler resembles the commercial thick border type. The condition inside and out are excellent, with a service worn but very nice liner and strap. The inside skirt bears the name of its wearer.
