Rare Heer Transitional Helmet with Parade Style Decals

This helmet consists of an Austrian M16 WWI shell, finished in smooth Reichsheer style feldgrau and outfitted with an updated M40 style liner. This is a fairly typical configuration, with the exception of the retention of the old style double buckle chinstrap, and the application of a set of Heer decals normally found on private purchase parade type helmets. Note the larger breast and thick beek on the Heer adler, and the old fashioned shape National shield. Both insignia show graceful age crazing and uniform patina with the rest of the finish. A striking looker, worthy of the finest helmet collection. COA accompanies.
