This helmet is not only an exceedingly rare example of a WWI helmet, but also as a convert to M40 configuration for wear by Heer troops. The shell is the only type found in original Ear Cutout; an ET64 M16 shell. The finish is the M40 production typical schiefergrau, medium texture, with a Heer adler on the left. The liner is the corresponding M40 type, untouched original to the helmet. The chinstrap is not present. The helmet is a one of a kind for the collector who focuses on rarity and condition. A truly beautiful specimen! COA accompanies.
