Outstanding Luftwaffe M40 Wire Camo Helmet

This is really a nice LW wire camo helmet. The specs are SE64, #5162, with the dark charcoal-blue grey of the SE LW post 1940 product line–my favorite LW color. The helmet bears the name “Krell” in the dome and the rear skirt, and shows wear to the paint and adler, especially where in contact with the galvanized steel (and copper) wire affixed to it for camouflage purposes. The copper segment of the wire is one-look original to the helmet, with paint remnants and correct wear, and patina to the joints and areas where it connects to the other portions of the wire. A super example of a wire combat Luft helmet, certainly service used. COA accompanies.
