Mint Fallschirmjager Helmet With Added Eagle

This FJ helmet is a beautiful example of a larger size, late war slotted bolt configuration. At some point in its life, a Luftwaffe adler decal was added to the helmet. While it is not possible to definitively determine if this was done during or after the war, the decal does show a couple of very small splits, which may indicate it was done in more recent times. The seller kept it for over 20 years, unaware that the eagle was after-market applied (the publication of the Ice reference book helped aid with this conclusion). The helmet is therefore priced fairly as a mint, no decal large FJ late war piece, COA with appropriate caveats accompanies.
