M35 Luftwaffe Helmet, Scarce Variant Shields
$1,950.00
If you read Ken N’s books, you will see this type of helmet described. The most distinctive feature is the rounded bottom national shield and accompanying eagle with usually a thicker border as one distinguishing feature. These helmets were part of (apparently) a special issue or special production, and can vary as to maker, but the finish and decals are done by one producer. I owned one that was marked to “Schlageter” Squadron, but have observed no other markings on these–others may have. Besides the interesting and rare configuration of insignia, the helmet overall shows good service use and age. The single ply liner band is dated 1937. A sharp piece, priced very reasonably. COA accompanies.
