This M40 is a later no-decal Quist size 64, consisting of the LW bluegrey schiefergrau finish, no factory decal, and topped with a splotch pattern camouflage scheme in bright brick red. This color is very distinctive to LW camos and makes a great contrast of colors on this helmet. The helmet shows service use and all components are untouched original. The interesting thing is the civic or luftschutz style chinstrap that the soldier incorporated into the bales, stitched in place, to create a jaunty appearance. COA accompanies.
