Kriegsmarine Officer Visor Cap
$2,200.00
This is a sharp World War II kriegsmarine officer’s cap. It is an excellent example that features very fine bullion embroidery on the visor. The cockade and eagle appear to have possibly been reapplied, but it is not certain when. Certainly a tailor did not do the reapplication, but nothing glows with blacklight and it’s plausible that it was done at a time near or during the WWII period. The eagle is likely a French variant, some of which have been seen on headgear — especially of the kriegsmarine, who sourced a lot of uniform materials from near their Naval bases in France. Fine-looking overall cap, priced accordingly.
