This is a fine example of an ET64 Waffen-SS M40 helmet by Eisenhuttenwerke-Thale. The finish is the expected lighter texture ET schiefergrau, light patina present, with a 100% intact classic ET M40 pattern runic shield, glue and lacquer applied. The liner is light golden, showing mild service use. The chinstrap shows some age and the tip is missing (clipped off). The full drawstring has not been untied, and the dome stamp is visible beneath. The rivets are untouched, and the overall untouched nature of this helmet can be seen with the light age grime left uncleaned from the entire interior. Everything is simply untouched, in desirable, bring-back condition. This level of quality M40s are getting harder to come by, and this helmet stands to grace the finest helmet and headgear collection. COA accompanies.
