This is an EF64 M40 Heer helmet, heat lot # . The schiefergrau finish is strong, and the decal appears to be 100%, although the strap has not been removed by me to look. The strap is a definite period match, not an add-on, based mainly on the localized patina, and the slight finish changes, which are signs of moisture drawn to the helmet by the leather–indicating a long time on this helmet. The liner shows age deterioration, but it and the chinstrap are unaltered original to the helmet. A once in a long time speciment, this one is definitely top shelf. COA accompanies.
