This is a sharp example of a recently out of the woodwork Heer transitional Single decal, with M-40 type finish and liner specifications. The shell is a size 64, German M16. The outer finish and decal are near mint, with age wear evident in the liner. The chinstrap is the Austrian M33 type, which is found on SS and Heer transitional helmets. It is a rare strap and a bonus to have as original woodwork component with this helmet. The helmet is untouched and has not been in a collection. A great looking specimen!
