This outstanding example is a Q66, heat lot #11408, with light texture schiefergrau finish and a classic Quist pattern runic shield. The 1941-dated double ply liner and strap are original untouched to the helmet, and in very good condition. This although at the same time showing substantial service use. All pins are completely unmolested and retain that telltale age patina and dust (pictures tell the story). The percentage of paint, decal and liner condition-as well as size- combine to make this an excellent, collectible M40 Quist Combat Waffen-SS helmet. COA accompanies.
