Here is a beautiful, service worn Waffen-SS M42, CKL 68. The finish is the darker ET light texture schiefergrau, with a finely toned, classic ET M40 pattern SS runic shield. The paint overall is at least 90%. The heat lot number suggests 1942 production, and the chinstrap is dated same. The liner band is the correct 1940 dated stock, a classic characteristic of many M42 helmets produced at Eisenhuttenwerke-Thale. The large size 60 liner shows the expected leather joins, which are pictured. The retaining pins are flush, and show undisturbed fuzzy patina. Overall a magnificent example of a harder to find nice condition Waffen-SS helmet. COA accompanies.
