ON HOLD (pvh) Fine Waffen-SS M40 Combat Helmet, Named
This is an excellent M40 ET62 combat condition helmet, heat lot number 842. The finish is the typical ET medium texture schiefergrau, with classic ET pattern SS shield. It is slightly canted, as are so many fine original ET examples in both M40 and M42. The liner is in serviceable condition, original untouched, as is the chinstrap–both show only their age, after moderate period service use. There is a well rendered, visible rank and name, “SS-Mann Langert.” This is a researchable helmet that may hold some interesting unit association. It talks to you. COA accompanies.
