This is a very sharp, service worn M35 Polizei helmet, ET62 #3655. The decals are excellent, showing the lacquer finishing. The factory feldgrau shows some use and has that ‘been there’ look. The liner and strap show service wear but remain very sound. Many historians overlook the fact that these troops, who at the end of the war were put back into service as police, were in very many cases at the forefront of the holocaust, from einsatzkommando to deportation operations.
