SOLD (ph) Fine, Luftwaffe Regiment ‘General Goring’ NCO Visor Cap, ErEl

This is an outstanding, late pre-war period Luftwaffe NCO visor cap, piped in infantry white, for the famous “General Goring” regiment, later known as the Fallschirm-Panzerdivision ‘Hermann Goring,’ a highly elite fighting divison of the Luftwaffe. The cap is a Robert Lubstein (ErEl) with a date of 1938. The body is fine quality blue-grey wool, with the ribbed black cap band and unmolested Luftwaffe eagle and cockade. The lining is the expected orange chintz, and the full sweat diamond features a name tag in the sleeve, inscribed to “Lohse, 16th Company General Goring.” A fine and rare cap. COA accompanies.
