This fine ET64 M40 is an example of an earlier M40 that shows service use and light overall finish wear. The decal shows expected crazing and patina, but is very strongly present. The liner shows some age wear, but is also complete. The string and strap are missing. There is a faint but complete dome stamp in the interior dome. The outer schiefergrau finish of the helmet shows remnants of a light tan camo color. This could also be the remnants of a white finish which was mostly removed, and yellowed over time. One or the other it has a classic wartime-used look and feel, and would fill a nice spot in the Combat Heer collection. COA accompanies.
