ON HOLD – Exceptional SS-Totenkopf Infantry Officer’s Tunic

Here is an extremely fine example of an early war period Waffen-SS Totenkopf Hauptsturmfuhrer’s tunic, piped for Infantry. The tunic is tailor made from a fine quality whipcord wool and displays top workmanship throughout. The badgecloth droop tail collar is adorned with a tailor-applied set of matching Totenkopf bullion officer’s horizontal skull and Hstuf rank tabs. A fine quality bullion hand embroidered sleeve  eagle is on the left sleeve, and white piped infantry Captain shoulder boards are sewn in at the shoulders. The initials “RU” are sewn in  directly below the tailor’s label in the inside collar of the tunic. This tunic is World War II period- badged and not rebadged or altered (from the same special collection as the other new listings, information will be provided at time of sale). Given the overall fine quality and excellent condition of this today, it is my assessment that it was worn mainly for walking out occasions rather than any extensive field service use. Simply spectacular in hand, with rare and exquisite insignia. David Delich letter and my COA accompany this purchase.
