This is just a seriously beautiful, unaltered original Heer M35 double decal chicken wire helmet, with the eagle painted around and the national shield covered in the thin repaint coat prior to the wire basket being applied. The national shield shows through via some flaking; no touching has occurred to uncover any part of it. All components fall together forensically and perfectly. The maker markings and heat lot number are obscured by the paint, patina and wire, and it is not possible to disturb those without causing harm. The early single ply liner band is marked B&C Berlin, 1937. I am privileged to handle this fine wire helmet. COA accompanies.
