RESERVED (mk) Early Style Heer NCO Gebirgsjaeger Visor Cap
Sharp, service worn Heer NCO Gebirgsjaeger Visor cap, with edelweiss insignia between the eagle and cockade. The interior lining in front area reflects the adjustment of the lining material while affixing of the edelweiss. The cap is made from the late 1930s tricot and badge cloth combination, with green piping for mountain troops. The shape of the cap body is the lower profile ‘teller’ shape of the earlier visor caps. The chinstrap also features the earlier ovoid buckles. Overall, this cap is a nice untouched example of the NCO headgear of the late prewar and early war period. COA accompanies.
