This fine cap was collected by the same collector who consigned the GD recon piped wrapper. They are not from the same individual soldier, but they are correct and match each other’s period of wear perfectly. This example is a Willy Sprengpfeil, 1938 dated. The body wool is fine quality, with an almost silky fine linen lining. It is very well marked. The insignia are the green type, perfectly factory applied, as is the gold waffenfarb soutache. A superb example. COA accompanies.
