This M42 Heer helmet was purchased by a noted US collector from a German ebay listing more than 15 years ago. It is unique because the seller provided photographs and other information relating to the helmet’s owner, Leutnant Melzig. Also included are copies of two of his award documents. In many cases, a family will let go of the helmets and such items, but retain documents, which appears to be the case here. COA accompanies.
