DAK Double Decal M35 Luft Helmet

This outstanding specimen has seen very extensive service use in a very hot climate. The base helmet consists of a Luftwaffe M35, ET64, base color being LW blue-grey, with a 1938 heat lot number and liner configuration. There are two decals present under the heavily worn DAK tan finish, which also has sand mixed in it. The liner is brown but mostly supple and fully intact. The string is present and the chinstrap is complete. There is some crayon in the helmet, evidence of a child getting ahold of it in the postwar period. The helmet is an excellent example of the battle headgear of the North Afrika campaign period. COA accompanies.
