This helmet is a Q66 heat lot number 664, and was used in its factory finish form, with the party shield removed. The SS shield remains, in relic condition. This helmet, along with some other unique items such as a “Nord” metal ‘sunwheel’ vehicle pennant, recently were excavated from a buried fighting position full of SS war dead and their items. This helmet shows bullet strikes and no doubt signaled the catastrophic end of its last user. COA accompanies.
