ADOLF HITLER AND ALBERT SPEER APPOINT A WAR CRIMINAL A very rare combination of signatures on a military-related appointment, those of Hitler and ALBERT SPEER.

(1905-1981), Hitler’s Minister of Armaments and War Production. The typed document, 1p. large 4to., was issued at “F├╝hrerhauptquartier” on May 30, 1944. “On the basis of my decree of May 30, 1944, I appoint Herr Edmund Geilenberg as General Commissioner for Immediate Measures with the Reich Minister for Armaments and War Production…” Boldly signed by Hitler at conclusion, with Speer adding his signature beneath Hitler’s, and additionally signed by SS Obergruppenf├╝hrer HANS H. LAMMERS

(1879-1962) Minister and Chief of the Reich Chancellory. With blind-embossed eagle and swastika seal, fine condition. Geilenberg was an important asset to German war production. He was awarded the Knights Cross of the War Merit Cross for his efforts to boost ammunition production, but was directly responsible for the deaths of over 4,000 concentration camp inmates used in plants he established to study oil extraction from oil shale deposits.
